About Digital
Adelaide

Digital Adelaide is the largest marketing conference in South Australia. Around 220 attendees each year, the conference showcases real marketers sharing their real experiences, so you walk away with practical knowledge you can put to work straight away.

We believe the best learning comes from practitioners, not theorists. Every speaker at Digital Adelaide is a working marketer who has done the thing they're talking about. No fluff, no vendor pitches, just honest insights from the coalface.

Beyond the content, Digital Adelaide is about community. It's a place for Adelaide's marketing professionals to connect, share ideas, and support each other in an industry that moves fast.

🎯

Practical Knowledge

Every session is built around takeaways you can act on immediately. If it can't be applied on Monday morning, it doesn't make the programme.

Authentic Voices

All speakers are working practitioners sharing real campaigns, real results, and real lessons learned. No vendor pitches. Ever.

🤝

Community First

Digital Adelaide exists to strengthen SA's marketing community. We're a place to connect, learn from peers, and grow together.

Our History

12 Years in the Making

2015

Social Media Day Adelaide

Inspired by Mashable's Social Media Day, the very first event was a handful of Google Hangout sessions, one face-to-face seminar in a university tutorial room, and after-work drinks at Hains & Co. The goal: make the latest social media knowledge accessible to everyone.

2016

First Face-to-Face Event

Social Media Day Adelaide became a fully face-to-face event, held at Cafe Komodo in Prospect.

2017

University of South Australia

UniSA came on board as a venue partner. Social Media Day Adelaide moved into the Hawke Centre, giving attendees a comfortable, purpose-built venue.

2019

Digital Adelaide is Born

After growing demand for broader content, the first Digital Adelaide event launched, expanding beyond social media to cover digital advertising, SEO, email marketing and more.

2020

Virtual Event

COVID-19 forced a pivot to a fully virtual event over two days: one day of Social Media Day Adelaide content, one day of Digital Adelaide content. A successful livestream with remote speakers.

2021

Social Media Day × Digital Adelaide

A welcome return to face-to-face at the Allan Scott Auditorium, University of South Australia. Attendees embraced being back in the room together.

2022

New Brand, New Venue

The event officially became Digital Adelaide. Bold new brand colours (a subtle nod to social media platform colours) and a move to the National Wine Centre made it bigger and better than ever.

2023

Back at the National Wine Centre

Digital Adelaide returned to the National Wine Centre for another sold-out event, with a strong lineup covering AI in marketing, paid social, customer experience, and legal updates for marketers.

2024

Adelaide Oval: First Time

Digital Adelaide moved to the iconic Adelaide Oval for the very first time, a landmark venue to match the event's growth over more than a decade.

2025

A High Note and a Handover

Rubina Carlson and Jen Evison signed off on an incredible chapter of Digital Adelaide, finishing on a high at Adelaide Oval and handing over the reins to Ryan Jones as sole organiser.

2026
Current Edition

Adelaide Oval: 2 Streams, 2 Days

The biggest Digital Adelaide yet. Two streams across two days at the iconic Adelaide Oval.
